Place Description
Bajo del Tigre Reserve is part of the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, Costa Rica’s largest private reserve, bought and protected since 1986 thanks to fundraising by children from around the world. Visitors to Bajo del Tigre can explore 5.5 km of uncrowded trails, enjoy two scenic lookouts, a children’s educational hut, and guided day and night hikes.
More adventurous visitors will enjoy an off-the-beaten path experience at one of our two field stations, San Gerardo and Pocosol, both of which offer lodging, meals, and hiking trails for a one-day or overnight rainforest immersion experience. Contact us for more information and reservations.
The Children’s Eternal Rainforest is home to incredible biodiversity and scenic rainforest beauty. All proceeds from visitation directly support conservation, environmental education and research.
