In San Luis you can breathe tradition, community, friendship, nature and peace. We are located in the Tilarán mountain range in the Monteverde District of the province of Puntarenas. The population of San Luis is close to 400 people.
What are the main characteristics of this community? We are surrounded by nature. Our town is contiguous to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. In San Luis you can find clean rivers, green fields, farms with a variety of crops and very diverse flora and fauna. Farmers practice traditional agricultural activities such as coffee and livestock. Students are involved in learning for personal, family and community development. Small entrepreneurs work to develop their productive project initiatives such as rural lodgings, guided tours, hiking and artisanal products in harmony with the environment. Through our Rural Community Tourism Program our visitors can enjoy all this and more.
